Largest subsidiary of Sikorsky Aircraft, United Technologies. HSI is responsible for aftermarket support of all commercial and foreign military helicopter operators. Annual revenues over $750M.

Technology leader during a period of unprecedented growth of 10X in the past 11 years.  Transformed the business from a transaction-based operation to a lean, metrics-driven organization.  Senior architect and developer of application software based on the Microsoft platform.  Responsible for all computer equipment and network infrastructure.  Recruit, hire and manage a staff of 15 IT professionals.

Ø   Principal designer and developer of a custom ERP system that drives all of HSI’s operations.  Conceived of multiple generations of the application to feature interactive dashboards, intuitive workflow, integrated process improvement tools and mistake-proofing.  Application based on Microsoft .NET framework, SQL Server and Reporting Services.
Ø   Implemented a series of portals and web services to connect customers, suppliers and field reps.  SharePoint site created that served as a Company Intranet and document repository.
Ø   Led HSI as its first ACE Gold cell and have maintained that performance level for the past four years.  HSI is now an ACE Gold site, the first full service site of its kind in Connecticut.  ACE is UTC’s implementation of Lean Process Improvement known in other companies as Six Sigma.
Ø   Responsible for all hardware and network infrastructure supporting 400 users in a 24x7 operating environment.  Reduced physical servers by two-thirds through virtualization.
Ø   Implemented an IT organization structure to support a 3X revenue growth in a five year period with only four additional heads.  This was accomplished through adoption of standardized development tools and ACE process improvement.
Ø   Department achieved the highest employee engagement survey rating in all of Sikorsky Aircraft by supporting skills enhancement and a team-focused approach. 
Ø   Accountable for the integrity of IT systems and procedures by ensuring a strong internal process environment and an ethical culture.  Implemented Sarbanes-Oxley controls and reporting.  No significant findings on any internal or external audits.  Achieved ISO9001/AS9100 independent accreditation.
